Education Towards Circular And Sustainable Economy

The ET CASE project is targeted at secondary schools education for Circular Economy and sustainable consumer behavior. Young generation will face a shortage of resources in the foreseeable future. Thus, it is important to adjust the educational schemes to the specific needs of youth and their perceptions of the world. Teachers and schools need tools that are effective and at the same attractive to pupils, to better affect their behaviors regarding sustainable consumption for a circular economy.

The ET CASE project merges innovative activities within three packs: 1) research and innovation pack (to recognise the pupils’ behavior by surveys, experiments and innovation lab), 2) action pack (to design and engage pupils and schools in practical actions for circular economy) and 3) edu pack (to create innovative instructional materials for educational schemes). The consortium of HEIs and NGOs will collaborate at international level in these activities, to support secondary schools teachers.

The outcomes of ET CASE will support the educational schemes for the understanding of circular economy and sustainable consumption at the secondary schools level. ET CASE will develop guidelines on how to: establish research-based activities and engage pupils in CE actions. It will also create educational instructive materials, train teachers on how to use them, develop CE knowledge packs to support teachers, and set the useful measures of CE behavior adjustable at the institutional level.
